PORTRAIT COMMISSION PROCESS

1. Initial Consultation
Your portrait journey begins with a phone or video meeting to discuss your vision — size, composition, attire, background, and mood.

2. Reference Photos
Provide high-resolution photographs (preferably taken in natural light). Live sittings are also welcome for a more personalized experience.

3. Confirmation & Deposit
After finalizing the reference photo, a 50% advance payment confirms your commission and the creative process begins.

4. Painting & Timeline
Portraits are carefully crafted and typically take about six weeks to complete, depending on size and complexity.

5. Progress Updates
You’ll receive regular photos or videos during the process, allowing you to share feedback on color, tone, and expression.

6. Final Approval
Upon completion, high-resolution images and a video of the finished portrait are shared for your review and approval.

7. Completion & Balance
The remaining balance, including applicable sales tax, is due once you approve the final work.

8. Delivery
The completed painting is professionally packaged and shipped (or hand-delivered) once it has fully dried and been varnished.

9. Adjustments
Minor adjustments may be requested within seven (7) days of receiving the portrait.

10. Framing Assistance
Framing is not included in the commission cost, but the artist is pleased to offer expert guidance on frame selection.

11. Travel & Shipping Costs

All shipping and artist travel expenses are the responsibility of the client.
